Job Description

• Lead and oversee company-wide operations, processes, and team performance
• Standardize workflows, budgets, staffing, scheduling, and resource management
• Set strategy, KPIs, and drive execution to support growth and profitability
• Establish and enforce SOPs, safety, and compliance standards
• Drive operational excellence through data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement
• Ensure clear communication, alignment, and meeting cadence across teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, HR, construction, and other departments
• Develop, mentor, and scale high-performing teams (hiring, training, performance management)
• Monitor operational performance, identify risks/opportunities, and implement improvements

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP of Operations should have:

• Proven senior operations leader in construction (ideally managing large, multi-team organizations ~300+ people)
• Strong operator who can balance daily execution with long-term strategic growth
• Highly organized, data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experienced in building scalable processes, KPIs, and operational systems
• Effective communicator and collaborator across all levels and departments
• Skilled in people leadership: hiring, coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
• Comfortable managing complexity, risk, and fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
• Technically proficient with strong attention to detail and operational execution
• Change-oriented leader who brings new ideas and drives continuous improvement
• High emotional intelligence with strong leadership presence, accountability, and cultural alignment
