Patient Services Representative

• Type: Contract to Hire
• Location: On-site in Plumsteadville, PA
• Schedule:
• • 3 shifts M-F, ranging from 7:45AM-5:30PM
  • 1 late shift, M-F from 12-8:30PM
  • Alternating Saturdays, 8AM-12PM (every 4 weeks)
• Pay: $20-22/hour

Responsibilities:

• Answer calls to handle inquiries or resolve concerns promptly, following company standards
• Schedule patient appointments and confirm details, both in person and by phone
• Manage patient arrival and departure activities - collecting co-pays, insurance cards, etc.
• Collect updated patient information and update records in EMR
• Communicate wait times and patient flow to patients and staff
• Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits
• Obtain pre-authorizations, referrals, and coordinating benefits
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal guidelines
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety

Qualifications:

• Experience scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out procedures
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and experience updating patient records accurately
• Ability to professionally assist patients and build rapport with visitors and staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills
