Position Overview

Job Summary:

Our organization is in search of a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to enhance our expanding cardiac critical care team, which currently includes eleven physicians and eight nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate will be part of a dedicated team that offers round-the-clock, in-house comprehensive care for critically ill neonates, infants, children, and adults with congenital cardiac conditions in a high-acuity CICU setting. This role also involves contributing to program development, quality enhancement, education, and clinical innovation.

Qualified Candidates:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Valid and unrestricted medical license in Texas
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Completion of advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, or dual training in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Proven dedication to excellence in cardiac critical care, multidisciplinary teamwork, and program development, with an interest in clinical research, outcomes research, quality improvement, and/or education
• Minimum of 3 years of post-training experience, though outstanding early-career candidates may be considered

Program Highlights:

• Over 250 congenital cardiac surgical procedures performed annually (pediatric and adult)
• Specialized pediatric interventional catheterization (300+ cases annually), electrophysiology, advanced imaging, and ECMO programs
• Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) with capabilities for fetal intervention and surgery
• Expanding Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program
