• Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at improving communication, language skills, fluency, vocal abilities, and swallowing functions.
• Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, aides, and families to develop unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure a smooth transition in care throughout the treatment process.
• Provide thorough and prompt documentation that meets state, federal, and facility standards.
• Engage in ongoing education to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology and collaborate with peers for shared growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Required Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
