Work Environment This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility while maintaining high levels of patient engagement. You will be supported by a collaborative team that prioritizes communication and interdisciplinary cooperation. While we operate primarily from a virtual platform, face-to-face interactions may occur through occasional in-person meetings or professional development sessions in Tacoma. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive assessments to gauge the mental health needs of patients, crafting individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities and tailor interventions to align with patients' cultural backgrounds and personal experiences. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on the enhancement of patients' mental health and overall well-being. Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic treatment approach, coordinating multidisciplinary care. Provide urgent crisis intervention, maintaining a supportive presence during mental health emergencies. Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and coping mechanisms. Assure that all patient documentation complies with legal and ethical standards while maintaining confidentiality. Engage actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives focused on cultural competency. Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health treatment, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a varied and vibrant client population, representing a wide array of ethnic, cultural, and social backgrounds. Your expertise in culturally responsive treatment will allow you to address the unique challenges faced by these individuals, thereby improving their mental health outcomes and supporting their journeys toward healing and growth. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure in Washington State as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Proven understanding of mental health disorders, contemporary evidence-based practices, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy. Demonstrated experience delivering effective individual and group therapy, applying inclusive therapeutic strategies to enhance patient engagement. Strong crisis intervention abilities with an aptitude for managing high-pressure situations calmly and effectively. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with diverse client populations. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology used in modern clinical settings. Commitment to ethical practice, maintaining professional boundaries, and upholding confidentiality in all interactions. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years’ experience providing mental health therapy in a clinical setting is preferred. Experience working with underrepresented populations and an understanding of their unique mental health needs. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
