Job DescriptionPosition Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist to join our dynamic team at Rise and Recover Psychotherapy Center in Rochester, New York. Work Environment As a member of our remote team, you will enjoy the benefits of a flexible work schedule, primarily from Monday to Friday, with core hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments, allowing you to understand each patient's history and unique needs. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual clients, taking into account their personal and cultural backgrounds. Provide a variety of therapeutic services, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address mental health concerns and foster resilience. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to deliver coordinated, holistic care that addresses all facets of the patient's well-being. Offer immediate crisis intervention to support clients during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate assistance. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in their care. Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems. Actively participate in regular case conferences and team meetings to share insights and strategies, and to further enhance your cultural competency. Stay current with developments in mental health research, best practices, and culturally relevant therapeutic approaches. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals from diverse and often marginalized communities. You will engage with clients who may be navigating cultural identity issues, systemic barriers, and varying levels of access to mental health resources. Your expertise will be crucial in providing compassionate, responsive care that respects the rich tapestries of our patients' lives. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. A solid understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and effectively integrating cultural competence into therapy. Demonstrable experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using culturally responsive approaches. Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from varying backgrounds. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and other relevant software applications. A steadfast commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and the confidentiality of client information. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Preferred Experience Experience working in community health settings, specifically with diverse populations. A background in facilitating groups for specific demographic communities. Previous involvement in cultural competency training programs or workshops. Demonstrated capacity for leadership or mentorship within a therapeutic context. Compensation and Benefits This full-time role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
