DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for carrying out the process of issuing a work order based on Sales order dates, making sure there are enough materials and time to complete the order to meet shipping schedules. This position will interact with QA and has to know and understand how QA accepts parts once received. This position also serves as liaison between the Production department and the Engineering department on all the production related Engineering issues.
- This position will ensure materials are available for production and products are available for delivery to customers.
- Planner also monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts are available to manufacture the product. Materials planner also works to improve delivery times.
- Production: Plan and determine shipping schedule, monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed, monitor productivity rates and make improvement on production throughput.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- This position requires some college or an AA degree or 5-6 years related planning experience.
- Bilingual preferred (English and Mandarin).
- Manufacturing background is required.
