Human Resources Coordinator

Human Resources Coordinator – College of Health The College of Health is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to work with schools, programs, and centers to assist with the processing of a wide range of human resources related transactions. This position is integral to our college operations in helping us recruit and hire new and returning employees and by assisting with processing all of the changes to assignments that occur over the course of our employees' careers. The Human Resources Coordinator within the UAA College of Health works within a team to advise colleagues on UA HR policies, procedures, and best practices. The Human Resources Coordinator responds to requests for employment actions and carries out a variety of tasks and processes related to hiring, onboarding, assignment changes, timesheet assistance, performance management, approval routing, and more. Key Responsibilities Process routine yet detailed HR forms and paperwork accurately and on time. Provide information about HR-related processes and procedures to stakeholders. Maintain organization and follow up on requests to keep stakeholders informed of status. Pull information from multiple sources to complete error‑free forms by established deadlines. Brainstorm with the team on how to tackle new processes or tasks. Qualifications One year of college coursework in human resources. Two years of technical human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills and willingness to learn from teammates and through regular training. Ability to adapt to evolving process improvements and changes. Attention to detail and the ability to produce error‑free work. Position Details This full‑time, non‑exempt staff position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. Flexible on‑site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. The position is classified as Grade 77 on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, based on education and experience. Employees receive a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package, including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage.
