Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in an education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $22.12 - $23.12 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM Sunday: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across the campus location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with school personnel and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, hallways, entrances, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific protocols, helping to support an orderly environment during school hours, arrival and dismissal periods, and after-school events. Assist with security-related reporting, daily activity logs, and/or incident documentation while maintaining professionalism and respectful interaction with the school community. Minimum Requirements At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
