Security Officer Part Time Patrol – Blauvelt, NY Pay Rate: $21.59 - $22.59 / Hour Job Schedule: Monday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM (Fixed shift) How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following site‑specific procedures and school location protocols. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report security‑related concerns to site contacts and/or public agencies when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, playgrounds, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entrances, visitor access, and/or arrival and dismissal activity in accordance with location policies and security‑related procedures. Document daily activities, unusual occurrences, and/or maintenance or hazard observations, and assist with emergency response activities when needed. Minimum Requirements: Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security‑related supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security‑related experience. Be 21+ years of age (for armed roles). For unarmed roles, 18+ years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Guard Card/License preferred. Access Control/Badge experience preferred.
