Location: Avera Therapy-Plaza 5, Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: $30.75 - $53.75 Position Highlights Position located in Sioux Falls, SD. Pay for Physical Therapist: $39.05 - $59.12; for Occupational Therapist: $33.83 - $50.87. Accepts SD licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; lymphedema experience greatly preferred. Avera will cover costs to become lymphedema certified. $15,000 sign‑on bonus eligible with a 3‑year commitment. Eligible for Student Loan Repayment Program ($167/month, up to $10,000). A Brief Overview Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of physical therapy services implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and established objectives of the department. What you will do Evaluate assigned patients, gathering data from a variety of sources such as patient records, interviews, observation, and team members. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for patients needing services. Use selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health and achieve treatment goals, establishing and modifying intervention and strategies for patients’ treatment program based on ongoing evaluation. Provide direct therapy services to patients using various functional settings and strategies, planning therapy within the patient’s individual physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities as indicated and coordinated with the rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans. Prepare documentation as required by the profession and department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress notes, and other reports. Communicate effectively with the patient, family, physician, and other disciplinary team members regarding the patient’s status, progress, and needs. Establish rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members (including family/physician) throughout the patient’s intervention program. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings, workshops, etc. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Physical Therapist: active license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred: 1‑3 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist.
