Senior Accountant (Contract - 6 Months)

About the Opportunity

LHH is partnering with a growing, well-established organization to identify a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract engagement. This role will support a high-performing accounting team with a focus on financial reporting, project analysis, and month-end close activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with large data sets, cross-functional teams, and process improvement initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to track performance, identify trends, and support decision-making
  
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  
• Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership highlighting key financial and operational metrics
  
• Partner with internal stakeholders to monitor project activity and ensure alignment with budgets and timelines
  
• Track costs, support vendor analysis, and assist with contract and procurement-related processes
  
• Maintain and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and process documentation
  
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
  
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or project-based financial analysis
  
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, large data analysis)
  
• Experience working with data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI or similar preferred)
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting project-based accounting or financial analysis
  
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
  
• Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, or cost tracking processes

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
