Overview
Registered Nurse – PACU for a travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Starts 06/15/2026 for 4 weeks, with weekly pay ranging from $2,345 to $2,473. Shift is 5x8 Rotating (Day/Evening) in a hospital setting. This assignment requires acute post-anesthesia care, with coverage across PACU needs in a large teaching environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care to PACU patients, including airway management, monitoring of vitals, wound care, pain and nausea control, and readiness for transfer.
- Monitor cardiac status, hemodynamics, and oxygenation; interpret rhythms and intervene per orders; manage lines and devices as applicable.
- Administer and titrate medications and drips per protocol; respond to emergent events and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the Epic EMR within established timelines; communicate changes to the care team.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; prepare patients for transport to the next care phase; participate in handoffs and care planning with multidisciplinary teams.
- May participate in weekend coverage and on-call as schedule requires; adapt to high-acuity, teaching-hospital PACU workflows.

Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Experience: minimum 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in PACU
- Skills: strong critical-care PACU capabilities; experience with arterial lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring
- Environment: prior experience in a large teaching hospital setting
- EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
- Ability to work in a high-acuity PACU environment and to adapt to rotating day/evening schedules
