The University Finance and Administration (UFA) division manages the central financial, administrative, and student information systems. The Business Manager I – Financial Reporting role leads enterprise‑wide financial reporting, acting as a techno‑functional leader accountable for accurate, timely operational and financial reports. Responsibilities Drive stakeholder engagement to define and prioritize reporting requirements, ensuring solutions align with Oracle ERP and operational capabilities. Translate reporting requirements into technical specifications and independently develop advanced reporting solutions. Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ERP and operational financial reports using Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, OAC, Smart View, FRS), Oracle SQL, and Tableau. Apply deep knowledge of data flow across Oracle ERP modules, ensuring consistency and accuracy across reports. Own data integrity and financial reporting accuracy, ensuring alignment with budget, accounting principles, and institutional reporting requirements. Analyze financial and operational processes to ensure reporting requirements reflect business needs and translate into scalable solutions. Manage and prioritize incoming reporting requests using Jira/ServiceNow, executing high‑priority work and coordinating with stakeholders and OIT. Supervise reporting team activities, assigning work, setting priorities, reviewing deliverables, and providing technical direction and mentorship. Lead report testing during Oracle quarterly updates, coordinating assignments across the team and OIT. Define and maintain operational reporting standards and lifecycle practices, including review, rationalization, cleanup, and guideline establishment. Serve as the primary escalation point for reporting errors, data issues, and access problems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience developing financial or operational reports in a complex organizational environment. Minimum 4 years of experience within a finance environment, not limited to IT or systems roles. Hands‑on experience with Oracle reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, OAC, Smart View, Oracle SQL). Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and BI Publisher Template Builder. Hands‑on experience developing and maintaining Tableau‑based operational reports. Experience building reports across Oracle ERP environments and validating/reporting across systems. Strong understanding of financial processes such as chart of accounts, sub‑ledger integration, allocations, consolidation, and financial close. Leadership skills: end‑to‑end ownership of reporting deliverables, team supervision, project management, and cross‑functional coordination. Analytical and communication skills: attention to detail, problem‑solving, and ability to translate technical concepts into business‑relevant information. Preferred: experience in higher education or public sector, multi‑entity financial structures, and cross‑system data integration. Salary Grade 08 – Minimum $108,670; Mid Range $137,547; Maximum $166,424.
