Now Hiring: Medical Front Desk Receptionist Orthopedic Clinic | Baton Rouge Area

Are you looking for an opportunity to start or grow your career in the healthcare field? We are urgently seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join a busy orthopedic clinic in the Baton Rouge area! This is a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional medical environment while working alongside a supportive team. Previous medical front desk experience is strongly preferred; however, we are also willing to train motivated recent college graduates with a degree in Biology, Kinesiology, or a related field.

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM

Pay: $15$16 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete all steps of the patient check-in process
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility and co-pay amounts and coordinate with accounting as needed
  • Review completed patient paperwork to ensure all necessary information has been recorded
  • Collect co-pays and any applicable upfront fees
  • Transfer paperwork and necessary information to the appropriate doctor's office
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office and workspace
  • Assist with incoming mail, documents, and packages

Requirements:

  • Prior medical front desk experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Kinesiology, or a related field may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Knowledge of the medical field is helpful
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
