Sales Representative - Tile, Flooring & Surface Products

Location: Dulles, VA (Territory Sales)

Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 + Commission – If you do the work, you will reap the rewards - You can double your salary.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; 1 Saturday per month, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

About the Opportunity

Leading North American distributor of flooring, tile, countertops, wall tile, and hardscaping products is looking for a Sales Representative Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required. We want someone who has a strong focus on developing and maintaining relationships with retailers and dealers, identifying new business opportunities, and providing product expertise to support customer success. This is an exciting opportunity for you if you have experience in Outside Sales, Territory Sales, Building Materials, Flooring, Tile, Countertops, Home Improvement, Real Estate, Dealer Sales or B2B Account Management with a strong focus on new business.

We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Sales Representative to grow sales within an established territory by developing strong partnerships with retailers, dealers, contractors, and industry professionals. This is an outside sales role focused on generating new business, expanding existing accounts, and driving revenue growth across flooring , tile, countertop, and surface product lines.

Compensation

• Commission: Earn 5% of gross profit margin after achieving a monthly sales threshold (typically $10,000-$20,000 in sales)

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.
\n
• Drive sales growth through new business development and account expansion.
\n
• Educate customers and store personnel on products, features, and selling strategies.
\n
• Provide pricing, prepare quotes, negotiate terms, and manage sales contracts.
\n
• Maintain product displays, samples, and marketing materials.
\n
• Analyze customer needs, market trends, and sales reports to identify opportunities.
\n
• Resolve customer concerns related to deliveries, returns, and credits.
\n
• Attend trade shows and customer events as needed.
\n
• Travel throughout the territory, spending approximately four days per week in the field and one day in the office.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
\n
• Valid driver's license required.
\n
• Previous outside sales experience preferred.
\n
• Experience in flooring, tile, countertops, building materials, construction products, home improvement, or related industries is highly desirable.
\n
• Proven ability to develop business relationships and manage a sales territory.
\n
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred.
\n
• Self-motivated with a strong results-oriented mindset.
\n
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
\n

Physical Requirements

\n
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
\n
• Frequent standing, walking, and customer site visits.
\n
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
