Bookkeeper - Intermediate to Advanced

Full-Time | Direct Hire | $65,000-$75,000/year
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong accounting knowledge and at least 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience . This position requires more than data entry-the ideal candidate understands GAAP, double-entry accounting, journal entries, and how transactions flow through financial statements .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day and full-cycle bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Support audits, tax requirements, and other accounting projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid bookkeeping/accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and journal entries .
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise required .
• NetSuite or other ERP experience highly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Accounting or Finance degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on accounting professional who understands the why behind the numbers, can independently identify and correct discrepancies, and takes ownership of accurate financial reporting.
