Human Resources Coordinator (Sacramento, CA)

LHH is teaming up with a healthcare services organization in Sacramento, CA in search of a Human Resources Coordinator to support a busy HR team with day-to-day operations, onboarding, and compliance-driven administrative processes.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity supporting a well-established healthcare environment that provides essential services to its community. The team is seeking additional support due to increased workload, offering an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, and employee records management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and values accuracy and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. This individual brings prior HR administrative or coordinator experience, preferably within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, and is confident handling sensitive information. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally are important, along with a proactive approach to supporting team needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate new hire onboarding processes, including scheduling, preparation, and coordination of orientation sessions
• Support recruiting efforts by reviewing resumes and coordinating interviews
• Process I-9 documentation and verify employment eligibility in compliance with federal regulations
• Maintain and organize employee records (digital and physical) to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and process personnel action forms and support payroll reporting activities
• Partner with payroll to assist with employee status changes, final checks, and adjustments
• Coordinate employee access, including ID badges and system access requests
• Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and adhere to compliance standards
• Provide general HR administrative support and assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of human resources or administrative experience (healthcare or regulated industry preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Experience handling confidential information required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully on-site in Sacramento, CA

Hours: Full-time, regular office hours

Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
