Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations, renders technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintains and cares for all ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include preparing and examining patients, operating and adjusting ultrasound equipment, ensuring adequate supplies, mentoring new personnel, capturing images onto PACS, and performing other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Skill in using personal computers and software.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
Required Education:
- Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology.
- OR High School/G.E.D. AND successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography technical training program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- BLS certification.
QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE
Work Authorization : US Citizen
Preferred years of experience : 2 years
