Qualifications Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant license Bachelor’s degree preferred Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Responsibilities Assist speech‑language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills. Document student progress toward established IEP objectives. Plan lessons for therapy sessions. Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities. Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate student’s speech development. Understand child development, manage challenging behaviors, and support social‑emotional learning.
