Description Broad Scope & Function The Community Partner Coordinator (CPC) is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting Community Host Partners (CHPs) and Sacramento State College Corps Fellows. The CPC serves as the primary liaison between the program, Community Host Partners, and fellows, ensuring a high-quality service experience that advances program goals and compliance requirements. This position supports the program's outreach, recruitment, placement, retention, training, leadership development, career readiness, service-learning, and reporting objectives. The CPC cultivates and maintains strong community partnerships, coordinates host site engagement, monitors placements, and provides ongoing support to partners and fellows throughout the academic year. The CPC is responsible for coordinating with partners, conducting workshops, providing training, publishing newsletters, performing evaluations to increase efficiency, and ensuring programmatic outcomes through regular check-ins and data collection related to community impacts. The CPC also leads marketing and outreach efforts to increase program visibility, recruit prospective fellows, and strengthen community engagement through campus events, storytelling, photography, newsletters, social media management, and other promotional activities. Through collaboration with program staff and CHPs, the CPC helps ensure meaningful service opportunities that support student success and community impact. The CPC will be the primary source of community service-related information and will also serve as the lead contact for maintaining effective relationships between CHPs regarding fellows and community engagement for the SSCC project. This position requires continuous travel throughout the Sacramento region to implement the Site Monitoring Plan, which includes formal, documented CHP site visits. Reporting Relationship The position reports directly to and receives general supervision from the Sacramento State College Corps (SSCC) Project and Community Partnerships Director. The position provides work direction to student assistants and collaborates with staff, intercampus partners, and community partners. Salary
This position is a full-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime pay), benefited position, with a defined contribution retirement plan through TIAA. (The position is not covered under the California Public Employees' Retirement System.) Continued employment in this position is dependent upon funding and the mutual consent of University Enterprises and the employee, and either University Enterprises or the employee, can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause. - Anticipated hiring range: $25.57-$31.96 per hour ($53,186-$66,477 per year)

- In partnership with project leads, develops a Request for Participation for community partners and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that aligns with College Corps and university requirements.
- Recruits CHPs aligned with the project areas of need. Conducts in-take for prospective CHPs to understand needs and desired outcomes for partnership. Onboards and trains CHPs to ensure understanding of program requirements. Develops a training schedule and materials.
- Develops CHP site selection criteria, maintains accurate CHP records, and creates systems that provide student participants with easy access to site and placement information. Collaborates with project leads and CHPs to ensure adequate placement opportunities and supports the placement and reassignment of student participants as needed.
- Works with project leads to ensure placement slots for student participants. Defines performance measures for CHPs, administers and develops CHP evaluation tools, tracks, and manages CHP data.
- Actively participates in meetings and provides updates on progress and statistics regarding CHPs.
- Supports year-round marketing and outreach efforts to recruit students, increase program visibility, and strengthen community partnerships through campus engagement, storytelling, photography, and management of social media platforms that engage current and prospective fellows and community partners.
- Works with Fellow Advisor Supervisor and Coordinator and Advising staff to develop trainings related to fellow retention and engagement, including sourcing speakers and facilitators for workshops.
- Assists students with program enrollment and maintenance requirements. Ensures timely submission of documents, tracks service hours and data logs, and helps students with time reporting.
- Serves as a liaison between advisors, fellows, and CHP site supervisors by tracking service hours through bi-weekly reports, fostering effective communication, gathering feedback from fellows and CHPs, and conducting CHP site visits to observe, document, and support the student experience.
- Travels throughout the Sacramento region to implement the Site Monitoring Plan, which includes formal, documented CHP site visits. Conducts at least one formal visit per CHP site every two years.
- Manages student and partner concerns through informal resolution processes, restorative action plans, and other intervention strategies. Troubleshoots issues, facilitates communication among stakeholders, documents concerns and outcomes, and escalates complex or unresolved matters to the Fellow Advisor Supervisor and Coordinator or Project and Community Partnerships Director as needed to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
- Performs other duties as assignedby the Career Center Director and Project and Community Partnerships Director to ensure the program's and its participants' success.
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the Behavioral or Social Sciences, Education or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Experience working on complex community educational programs or volunteer educational management programs.
- Experience building respectful relationships with community leaders across various sectors (e.g., institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.)
- Experience as a program lead, managing projects, directing others, and overseeing data collection and evaluation.
- Experience maintaining performance measures, producing reports, and tracking progress.
- Proficiency in creating print and web-based materials.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for addressing diverse student needs and collaborating with partners and colleagues.
- Experience delivering presentations and workshops.
- Experience working independently to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple complex and detailed projects, adapt to changing work priorities, and perform interrelated tasks.
- Demonstrated experience using computer applications including email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software such as the programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
- Ability to deliver, evaluate, and adjust new programs and curricula.
- Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions, and complete tasks under speed or productivity quotas.
- Experience working effectively and respectfully in diverse settings.
- Must be legally eligible to drive in California, complete and pass an online training course, maintain a good driving record, and be acceptable for vehicle insurance coverage under the University Enterprises insurance plan. Must continue to meet the established driving standards, driving record will be monitored with the California Department of Motor Vehicles to ensure compliance.
- Must be fingerprinted and pass a background check. Must continue to meet the established standards.
- Master's degree in one of the Behavioral or Social Sciences, Education or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Knowledge of community-based and government organizations in the K-12 education, food security, and climate action sectors.
- Experience in utilizing internet-based technology to support program management including AirTable, Box, and Teams.
- Experience in using a student information system, such as PeopleSoft/Common Management System and EAB, which are used in the California State University system.
- Experience working with undocumented students and knowledge of AmeriCorps.
- Experience working with federally designated Minority-Serving Institutions, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and/or Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions.
