Reservationist/Receptionist

Job Overview:

Shooters Waterfront in Fort Lauderdale, FL is looking for Reservationist/Receptionist to join our fast-paced, high-volume location. We are currently searching for candidates that are comfortable with a multiple incoming phone system, have a positive, cheerful attitude, and are able to work on an iPad. Knowledge of Open Table and Toast are helpful but not a must.

Reports to: Dining Room Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Establish and maintain consistent professional relations with all guests and customers.
• Ensure adequate coverage of the reservation's office at all times.
• Maximize use of table inventory.
• Ensure consistent reporting to senior management.
• Ensure all guests receive a positive and professional impression of the restaurant.
• Provide a clear communication process to all relevant parties.
• To arrive at work for scheduled shifts and be punctual, always following company absence, lateness procedure if unable to do so.
• To provide a speedy, efficient, and professional level of service at all times.
• To treat company property with due care and attention.
• To attend meetings/training sessions as required by the management team.
• Adhering to and maintaining cleaning checklists and carrying out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• To work as a team player at all times and be prepared to be flexible to ensure that operations are always efficient and profitable as possible.
• To be responsive to any guest's request.
• To inform managers of any complaints/comments / perceived issues.
• All customers receive the best possible service and care (refer to "service standard").
• To have a thorough knowledge of the food and dessert menu.
• Communicate any issues or ideas to the management team.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
• Possess great communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergencies.
• A cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people and being able to work well under pressure.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must possess reliable transportation.
• Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
