Junior Art Director

Altra is seeking a Junior Art Director to support the execution of the brand vision across multiple marketing channels. Based in Denver, CO and working onsite , this role partners with creative and cross-functional teams to help bring campaign and seasonal stories to life. The position reports to the Associate Creative Director and focuses on producing and refining creative assets with strong craftsmanship and attention to detail. What you’ll do Support development and execution of creative assets for integrated campaigns, including website content, landing pages, email marketing, digital advertising, social media , plus video, print materials , and retail communications. Contribute ideas during brainstorming, creative briefings, and concept development sessions. Execute assigned design projects while staying aligned with brand standards, creative direction, and project objectives . Collaborate with Associate Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copy Writers, Web Developers, Marketers , and other partners to create campaign and tactical marketing materials. Research design trends, technology, consumer insights, competitor activity, and social media trends to support creative development. Deliver assigned projects and details by deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy. Follow established creative processes and workflows, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organization. Demonstrate strong craftsmanship across all stages of creative development and production. Assist with eCommerce and marketing photo shoots , including production coordination, asset preparation, and photo selection (studio experience preferred). Help prepare and share creative concepts and rationale with internal stakeholders. Participate in project reviews, creative critiques, and team meetings to support ongoing learning and development. Work closely with traffic, production, and marketing partners to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the creative team and broader business objectives. What you’ll bring A portfolio that demonstrates strong design fundamentals, creative thinking, and attention to detail . Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite , including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere . Proficiency in Figma . Understanding of print production and pre-press requirements . Organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to clearly communicate creative ideas and receive feedback constructively. Experience creating digital and marketing assets across multiple channels and platforms . Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A creative mindset with curiosity, resourcefulness, and willingness to learn. Passion for the Altra brand and running community. Education Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or a related field. Preferred (not required) skills Experience assisting with styling for photo or video productions. Photography, photo editing, or content creation experience. Motion design or animation experience. Video editing experience. Salary and compensation The hiring range for this Junior Art Director role is $58,752.00 USD - $73,440.00 USD per year. There is also incentive potential, including eligibility for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential, with specific details provided during the recruiting and interview process.
