Finance (Sponsor Finance) Associate Attorney

Locations: Denver, CO; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA

Direct Counsel is seeking a Finance (Sponsor Finance) Associate Attorney to join a premier Am Law firm with a sophisticated finance practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years of finance experience at a top-tier law firm, with a focus on representing private equity sponsors, private companies, and other borrowers in secured financing transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Represent private equity sponsors, private companies, and other borrowers in secured financing transactions.

• Handle acquisition financings, refinancings, and other complex financing transactions.

• Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients on fast-paced, sophisticated transactions.

• Analyze and communicate complex legal and business matters clearly and effectively.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

• Contribute to firm and practice group initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 2–6 years of finance experience at a top-tier law firm.

• Significant experience representing private equity sponsors, private companies, and other borrowers.

• Experience with secured transactions, particularly acquisition financings and refinancings.

• Strong initiative and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.

• Strong interest in professional growth and taking on increased responsibility.

Salary: $260,000–$390,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
