Canadian Executive Search Group is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Inspector for a great temp-to-hire opportunity in Wallingford, CT. This position is responsible for performing inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring customer requirements are met throughout the receiving and shipping process.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform incoming inspections, issue receiving paperwork, and complete customer purchase order contract reviews.

Perform receiving inspections based on customer visual and dimensional inspection requirements after required training.

Create job and part certifications within the E2 system.

Review and inspect co-workers’ final customer certifications and packing slips for accuracy.

Issue customer awareness documents and quality department non-conformance reports.

Understand customer operation sheets and verify:

Peen required areas

Peen optional areas

Peen not allowable areas
according to customer technical data.

Perform Almen strip inspections for coverage.

Read, understand, and follow written procedures, POPs, and equivalent documentation.

Maintain daily shipment reports.

Perform sieve test analysis according to established standards.

Utilize a Profilometer surface analyzer to measure part surface finish and ensure compliance with POP requirements.

Qualifications:

Experience in shipping, receiving, quality inspection, or manufacturing preferred.

Ability to read and follow written procedures and technical documentation.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to complete quality documentation and inspection reports.

Experience with inspection tools and quality systems is a plus.
