Job Function Pharmaceutical Sales Job Sub Function Sales – Neuroscience (Commission) Job Category Professional All Job Posting Locations Portland, Oregon, United States Job Description Neuroscience Sales Specialist responsible for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within the assigned territory of Portland East, OR. This role involves engaging healthcare professionals, developing local strategic and tactical plans, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong customer relationships to support the growth of Intra‑Cellular Therapies’ neuroscience products. Job Responsibilities Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within assigned territory by calling on HCP offices and Mental Health Community Centers both in-person and virtually, following compliance guidelines. Effectively use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Maintain a current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, routinely sharing this information with relevant internal stakeholders. Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region, identifying and selecting appropriate programs and resources for each customer, practice, and/or system. Work with Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives, capitalizing on formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of the strategic plan. Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and sharing of best practices. Accountable for timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting. Inform and build a business plan based on depth and breadth of customer business needs, resources, and products. Complete all company‑related training as assigned within required timelines. Job Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, business-to-business sales, or recent transition from Active-Duty Military. 3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred. Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record required. Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers; ideal candidate emulates patient‑centricity. Act with high integrity and in accordance with the company’s compliance policies and procedures. Strong self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial passion, excellent decision‑making judgment, and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Proven track record of success in learning and adapting to evolving environments such as COVID‑19 to overcome obstacles and challenges. Ability to be agile and adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments. Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify new opportunities. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse audience. Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside normal working hours; territories may require some overnight travel; domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings may be required periodically.
