Safety Manager

Job Overview Allegheny Transportation Services Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that employees within the organization comply with safety programs that guide the transportation industry. The Safety Manager partners with the operations team to ensure drivers and other team members perform their duties safely, ensuring client services are delivered to high standards. The Manager ensures the entire workplace, including employees, follows industry, state, and company safety guidelines or rules; conducts routine safety audits; carries out safety training programs for company employees on a regular basis; develops processes for collecting data on accident causes; implements initiatives to reduce work‑related accidents and occupational hazards; directs and supervises general safety guidelines and procedures; investigates accidents to find their causes; inspects and monitors daily operations to ensure compliance with safety policies and laws; checks equipment and machinery for safety; reports necessary safety adjustments to top management; and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Three (3) years of safety management experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience. College degree in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Business Management, Business Administration or equivalent. Driver's license. Pay $55,000 annually.
