Legal Administrative Specialist - Investment Management

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Legal Administrative Specialist (LAS) to support the Investment Management Practice Group. Responsibilities Provide a broad range of administrative, secretarial and document processing support to the assigned practice group. Use Task Delegation and Workflow Management software (BigHand) to receive, enter, and update assignments; communicate status and seek guidance as needed. Edit, proofread, and draft routine correspondence, memorandums, reports and other general communications, and perform redlining. Maintain client service standards: screen and respond to communications promptly and professionally. Answer phones, take messages, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, arrange audio/video conferences, reserve conference rooms, and arrange set‑ups. Maintain attorney calendar, advise attorneys of appointments, update address book and InterAction entries, and assist with time entry. Assist with billing: deliver proforma invoices, perform narrative edits, generate customized reports. Process new business intake forms and related correspondence. Process expense reports and invoices, arrange check requests, and monitor completion. Arrange travel, prepare itineraries, maintain attorney travel and desk profiles. Coordinate printing, scanning, copying, and shipping of documents. Maintain electronic and/or physical files, calendars, correspondence, and collaborative workspaces; create and maintain binders. Maintain case docket/calendaring as needed. Transcribe text from handwritten drafts, voice messages, or recordings. Open, screen, and route mail; manage faxes and email. Provide legal research, case support and project assistance as required. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and at least seven (7) years of administrative support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous law firm experience required. Consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF software. Flexibility to work overtime and commit to a hybrid schedule (in‑office three days per week, unless client demands or accommodations apply). #LI-Hybrid Salary range for this position in Boston, MA: $80,785.00 – $105,261.00.
