Business/Data Analyst

Business AnalystDefines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues. Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes. May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Codes and maintains business application programs from user instructions or formal functional specifications. Experience in the analysis and testing phases in the development cycle. In addition having experience of 3 to 6 years.Top 3 must-haves:This person will be following a set of instructions needs to be able to work in a team environment and have good communications skills.Top 3 “nice to have” that would separate a successful candidate from their competition:Familiar with SDLC is a plus.Type of background and required experience:Working experience in financial institutions and IT.Role support:Support role in a project working on or SDLC process.Interview process:Zoom meetingWorking hours and time zone:8 to 5 eastern time zoneRole location:HybridDuration of contract:Until the end of the year but will be extendedTraining and first day expectations:This person will be working with my process engineering team to re-engineering, document our new SDLC process and will be required to take State Street Mandatory training for contractors.Day to day activities:It will be a mix of meetings, working group sessions and time to complete tasks.
