Sr. Estimator

A highly respected and award-winning commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Estimator III to join its growing team in Southlake, Texas. This established general contractor and construction manager has built a reputation for delivering complex, high-profile projects across healthcare, higher education, senior living, K-12 education, defense/aerospace, municipal, commercial, and industrial sectors. Position Summary The Estimator III will play a critical role in preconstruction and estimating efforts, leading estimates across multiple projects while collaborating closely with project teams, subcontractors, owners, and leadership. This position requires an individual who can operate autonomously, manage multiple estimates simultaneously, and contribute to client relationship development and business growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead comprehensive estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and bid packages Manage and coordinate multiple project estimates simultaneously (typically 2-3 projects) Analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate project costs Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals Participate in preconstruction planning and CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) delivery processes Collaborate with operations, project management, and executive leadership teams Support business development efforts and build relationships with clients and industry partners Mentor and train junior estimators and team members Assist in developing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of construction estimating experience Strong experience with Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project delivery Ability to independently lead estimates and manage multiple scopes of work Experience working on commercial and/or industrial construction projects Proven ability to mentor, train, and develop team members Strong organizational and multitasking skills Technical Skills Experience with estimating and construction management technologies MS Project experience preferred Experience with Trimble ProjectSight is a plus Ideal Candidate We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects.
