Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and experienced RN or LPN Nurse Manager to oversee our weekend operations. This essential leadership role entails 24-hour accountability, collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure outstanding patient care.

• You will act as the main clinical and operational link between our units and the DON.
• Your responsibilities will include managing all clinical operations during the weekend, ensuring adherence to our policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• A significant aspect of your role will involve mentoring and guiding nursing staff, promoting effective communication across shifts and departments to foster a unified team.
• In the absence of the DON, you will take on their responsibilities, managing administrative tasks and providing direct clinical support as necessary.
• Your leadership will be vital in cultivating a culture focused on safety, quality improvement, and professional growth.

Position Highlights

• Clinical Leadership: Conduct daily patient rounds to assess needs, provide care when necessary, and monitor nursing practices to ensure positive outcomes.
• Administrative Oversight: Support the DON with staffing, budgeting, and performance reviews. You will also recommend and facilitate employee promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions as required.
• Quality & Compliance: Spearhead our quality improvement initiatives, ensuring patient care plans are effectively implemented. Investigate and resolve any patient incidents or grievances in line with our policies.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and effective care, build strong partnerships with medical staff, and guarantee a safe discharge planning process.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program is required.
• A current license from the State Board of Nursing is mandatory.
• At least three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience is necessary, with a preference for a minimum of two years in long-term care nursing and one year in a management or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
• Verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) is required as per state law and company policy.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is necessary (as required by state regulations for all SNFs and Behavioral Centers; ALFs/ILFs).

Salary Range: $38.00 - $45.50 per hour. Bonus: $5,000.00
