Job Description
Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Dynamic ICU Team!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: 6-9 weekends in a 6-week schedule
- First to Float: Required to float as needed, with potential for floating within Zone 3
- Orientation: Must be available for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote

Unit Details:
- ICU Types: MICU, CSICU, NTICU
- Total Beds: 12 MICU, 24 CSICU, 24 NTICU
- Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:2

Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Patient Population Includes:
- Respiratory distress
- DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis)
- Renal failure
- Surgical cases requiring ICU post-operative care
- Cardiac conditions, including cardiac surgical cases (TVAR, CABG)
- Stroke, neuro, trauma, ortho, surgical, and medical cases

Experience/Skills Needed:
- General critical care experience
- Ability to perform 12-lead EKG
- Flexible and adaptable approach to teamwork
- Preferred: 1 year of trauma/surgical and neuro critical care experience

Additional Responsibilities:
- RNs are required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics
- Charge Nurse does not take assignments
- Critical care tech support available

Supportive Environment:
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house
- RT presence in ICU 24/7
- Equipped with CPAP, BiPap, High Flow, and vents

Professional Development & Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling encouraged
- Full- and part-time employees expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
- Holiday requirements apply

Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments

Charting System:
- EPIC
