Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant will support full cycle accounts receivable, commission and royalty calculations, and month-end general ledger accounting. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.ResponsibilitiesDaily Accounts Receivable invoice posting and email distribution to customersProcess daily remote bank deposits and recording of AR cash receiptsDaily cash and collections reportingRespond to customer invoice inquiries, research and resolve invoices discrepancies, communicate and work with the Customer Service Department on invoice issuesSupport collection efforts and customer follow-up on past due balancesAssist with monthly processing of commission and royaltiesCommunicate and distribute account statements and respond to emails and inquiries from the sales teamAssist with month-end close process including recording of journal entries and account reconciliationsCollaborate with other departments to ensure timely accounting of events and transactionsAssist with annual external audit requests and support schedulesAssist with year-end physical inventory countsPerform other accounting and finance related duties as assigned, supporting the overall function of the teamQualifications0-2 years of accounting or finance experienceHighly organized with strong attention to detailAble to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong background in ExcelDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughnessMaintain confidentiality of proprietary and private informationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSAP Business One or other industry leading ERP system experience is a plusManufacturing experience is a plusEducationBachelor's degree in business or accounting requiredPhysical RequirementsThis is largely a sedentary role; prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
