Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients referred by physicians, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and client goals.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions across various modalities, demonstrating expertise in techniques that align with the physician’s plan of care.
• Provide hands-on treatment for a range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric concerns, and sports-related ailments.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on therapeutic exercises, home care strategies, and lifestyle modifications that promote recovery and prevent recurrence of injuries.
• Document patient progress and outcomes meticulously, using evidence-based practices to ensure accountability and high standards of care.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to maximize patient recovery outcomes.
• Meet or exceed utilization objectives set by the organization while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical practice will cover a broad spectrum of patient demographics, ranging from children with developmental challenges to adults recovering from surgeries or sports injuries. You will treat patients facing unique medical challenges, requiring you to adapt your treatment strategies and enhance your clinical reasoning skills continuously. Qualifications

• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a strong foundation in human anatomy and rehabilitation science.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
