Position Overview

Our organization is in search of a System Division Director for Complex Family Planning within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science. A robust and effective division is essential for advancing the clinical, research, and educational objectives of the department and its academic health center collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

• General Leadership:
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere that promotes open communication at all levels.
  • Encourage a culture of professionalism, trust, and teamwork within the division.
  • Implement a system for timely dissemination of information from the department, medical school, and health system to all faculty and staff.
  • Hold regular meetings with all division members, including clinical, research, and administrative personnel.
  • Schedule division meetings to maximize attendance.
  • Stay informed about local and national healthcare trends and their potential impact on the field.
  • Develop, execute, and periodically revise a strategic plan for the division that aligns with departmental and institutional goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities for clinical, research, and educational initiatives within the division.
  • Establish specific missions for clinical, research, and educational activities and monitor progress towards these goals.
  • Ensure divisional involvement in departmental programs and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to faculty and staff regarding unacceptable behavior patterns.
  • Oversee the timely completion of faculty evaluations and staff performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental and institutional expectations among divisional faculty and staff.
• Academic Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the System Chair to recruit new faculty and staff to support the division’s mission.
  • Guide and monitor the academic progression of divisional faculty and fellows through effective mentorship and evaluation.
  • Create individualized development plans for each faculty member, outlining clinical, research, and educational goals.
  • Work alongside physicians, nurses, social workers, and bereavement specialists to provide holistic care and psychosocial support for patients facing fetal abnormalities and pregnancy challenges.
  • Engage with various health centers and departments to support individuals across the reproductive spectrum.
  • Encourage faculty and fellows to participate in community outreach initiatives, such as the student-run free clinic that offers primary care and reproductive health services to uninsured adults.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Possession of a New York Medical License or eligibility for licensure.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $300,000 and $375,000, excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialty, historical productivity, and community needs. The listed salary range applies to full-time employment and does not include additional compensation or benefits.
