Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes including preparation of journal entries Review expenses at a cost center level for accuracy and understanding of key trends Ensure Balance Sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled Involved in all aspects of External and Internal audit activities Perform analysis as well as assist in reviewing or enhancing analysis and analytical processes and controls Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of certain key balance sheet and income statement accounts Actively participate in process improvement initiatives seeking out opportunities for improvement and implementation of new processes and systems Assist in developing and maintaining internal SOX documentation and controls, reconciliations, monitor operational/industry/regulatory changes and develop new processes and policies to accommodate accordingly Provide timely responses and deliverables to requests from internal customers from functions including Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Supply Chain, Technology, and department owners Perform other job duties and ad hoc projects assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required 1-3 years of experience in a full-cycle accounting role Experience and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems-preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP Must have advanced Excel skills with proficiency with Vlookups, Xlookups, Pivots and Macros are a plus Eagerness and curiosity to learn more and willingness to ask questions to develop understanding and gain proficiency of business operations #J-18808-Ljbffr
