Senior Accounting Clerk

Connections Personnel is hiring for a Direct Hire Senior Accounting Clerk for our client located in Cranford, NJ. Looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience for a manufacturing company that deals with stationary, office supplies, custom printing and marketing materials to join their team. Company has a stable working environment that offers career longevity and consistency. Responsibilities Handling balance sheet and PNL, fixed assets/depreciation, bank statements and journal entries. Reconciling bank statements, general ledgers, and expense reports and investigating discrepancies. Preparing financial reports, trial balances and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end closing. Month and year end work papers, accrued and prepaid spreadsheets. Reviewing, coding, and verifying journal entries, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Managing vendor invoicing and handling complex accounts receivable/payable. Accounts Receivables: posting cash, collection efforts, running credit cards, releasing customer credit holds and handling on line customer portals. Budget entry each year. ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Inventory part cost change updates and Amazon payments (incoming) on excel spreadsheets. Daily banking. Billing: Credit memos and back up to the billing person. Requirements 3-5 years of experience needed. Must have Microsoft Office and must have Excel (Must be proficient on Excel). Must understand the financial statements and how it all flows in from all the workpapers. Must be a candidate who will take on new responsibilities as the position grows. Must speak English.
