Dental Designs on Poplar is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team. Position Details

• Full-Time, 4 Days Per Week
• Either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday schedule

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care
• Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate patient records
• Sterilize instruments and maintain compliance with infection control protocols
• Educate patients on treatment plans, oral health, and post-treatment care
• Support efficient patient flow and daily office operations
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members
• Help create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Dental assisting experience preferred
• Current radiology certification as required by Tennessee regulations
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-player mentality with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience working in a patient- or customer-centered environment
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Dental assisting school certification
