The Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life serves as an integral part of the FSL leadership team. This full-time professional staff position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life within the Division of Student Affairs. Our Community Interfraternity Council (IFC)| 32 Chapters, 4,000+ members Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) | 3 Chapters, 20+ members National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) | 8 Chapters, 90+ members Panhellenic Association (PHA) | 14 Chapters, 5,650+ members Job Description The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is seeking a dynamic, student-centered professional to serve as the Coordinators of Fraternity & Sorority Life. The position will function as a full-time professional staff member focusing on supporting the developmental needs of chapter leaders and volunteers. The University of Missouri Fraternity & Sorority community consists of 54 inter/national Greek letter organizations; IFC (32 chapters), MGC (3 chapters), NPHC (8 chapters), PHA (14 chapters). The approximately 9,800 fraternity and sorority community members represent 41% of the undergraduate campus population. Thirty percent of the fraternity and sorority community live in chapter houses owned and operated by individual chapter corporation boards. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life within the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for chapter support as well as community-wide programming. Essential Functions Responsible for managing a portfolio of 20-30 fraternities and sororities Manages the execution of the Standards of Excellence Program Assist the office in facilitating educational programs on leadership, member development, health and well-being, and other topics Responsible for planning and executing programs and workshops including the annual Fraternity & Sorority Life Honors program, Fraternity & Sorority Leadership Retreat, and chapter officer transition workshops Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with related units addressing hazing prevention, alcohol & other drug prevention, event management, sexual assault awareness/prevention, and wellbeing Responsible for facilitating volunteer development workshops and programs including advisor meetings and educational programs Serves as primary advisor to the Order of Omega Serve on departmental and divisional committees as needed. Shift Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position will require evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department. Occasionally division and campus projects may require additional hours outside of your normal schedule. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in higher education student affairs, college counseling, or related field strongly preferred. Previous professional experience in Fraternity and Sorority Life including leadership and/or advisory role with fraternity or sorority organizations. Demonstrated experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds. Knowledge of college student development theory, theories and models of leadership development, and community building techniques. Experience working with international/national fraternity and/or sorority offices. Experience advising a governing council (IFC, PHA, NPHC, MGC, etc.). Experience advising/working with National Pan-Hellenic Council chapters/members and/or Multicultural Greek Councils chapters/members. Commitment to continued personal and professional development. Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $19.25 - $28.85 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis.
