Senior Accountant

Job Title

Role And Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and general ledger entries
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account analysis
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing transactions for accuracy
• Monitor financial data and identify discrepancies or process improvement opportunities
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation for management review
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with operations and management teams to support financial reporting and job profitability analysis
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and internal controls

Qualifications And Core Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication skills with management and cross-functional teams
• Ability to handle confidential financial information
• Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of job costing, general ledger, and financial controls

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in construction, field service, or related industries preferred
• Experience with financial statements, month-end close, and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with accounting software and job costing systems
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Experience in garage door, construction, or service industry
• Knowledge of project accounting and job costing
• Experience with ERP implementation or process improvement initiatives
• Bilingual skills are a plus
