Assistant Preconstruction Coordinator
The Assistant Preconstruction Coordinator is responsible for providing a high level of support for the Preconstruction team to efficiently accomplish key tasks and company initiatives. This includes organizing meetings, preparing communications, creating, and updating spreadsheets and various other tasks to support the Preconstruction team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company maintaining Cooper Steel's core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
- Learn the terminology and practices of the preconstruction department
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks to support the Preconstruction team
- Assist with data entry in various systems and documents
- Assist in the update of Proposals and Excel Bid Reports with appropriate project related information
- Manage, organize, and stock all office supplies including paper, water, toner, etc.
- Manage office inventory and order supplies
- Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Review and approve invoices if needed
- Assist with drawing overlays and document control
- Responsible for opening/closing office area
- Print blueprint and bid documentations, quotes, and other necessary paperwork
- Prepare project folders both electronic and paper files and complete necessary filing
- Act as the main point of contact for deliveries, shipments, and external vendors
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality of all Cooper Steel business affairs, internally and outside of the company
- Other duties as assigned
