Multiple openings are available, each offering the chance to lead a dedicated classroom:

• An ASD/DCD center-based class for students with cognitive disabilities, focusing on alternative curriculum and personalized supports such as mobility assistance and AAC devices.
• An A+ program for students with autism spectrum disorder, centered on skill-building for integration into general education environments.
• A MAPD class for students with emotional behavior disorders, also working toward greater inclusion and regulation skill development.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license (MN SPED) required
• Experience working with a spectrum of disabilities, including cognitive, behavioral, and functional needs
• Proficiency supporting students using alternative curricula, adaptive communication, or mobility devices
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning space

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to IEP goals
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and self-care growth
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive instructional materials as needed
