Managing Attorney

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Managing Attorney with 2 to 10 years of experience in personal injury and litigation to join a growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing plaintiff personal injury matters, handling litigation from inception through resolution, and providing exceptional client representation.

Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bars of both South Carolina and Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury and civil litigation matters from pre suit through trial preparation and resolution
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, depositions, and negotiations
• Evaluate claims, liability, damages, and case strategy
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
• Handle settlement negotiations and assist with trial preparation
• Review medical records, accident reports, and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management
• Provide strong advocacy and client service throughout the legal process

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership and good standing in both South Carolina and Georgia required
• 2 to 10 years of personal injury and litigation experience required
• Experience handling plaintiff personal injury matters preferred
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Trial experience is a plus
