Desktop Support

Our client, a government organization dedicated to serving the public interest, is seeking a Desktop Support IV to join their team. As a Desktop Support IV, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting a team of technical specialists. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Provide Tier 3 support and maintenance for workstation hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
• Support and maintain operating systems across user workstations, ensuring security and efficiency.
• Assist with peripheral device support, including printers and scanners, and perform routine maintenance.
• Manage incidents and service requests efficiently, providing timely resolutions to end-users.
• Collaborate with team members and project managers on hardware and software deployment projects.

What's Needed?

• At least 5 years of experience supporting workstation hardware and software at a Tier 3 level.
• Proficiency in supporting and maintaining operating systems for user workstations.
• Experience supporting peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
• Strong background in incident and service request management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for customer support and documentation.
