IMC is currently hiring a LPN - Med Surg, whoisresponsiblefor rendering safe nursing care to patients; supervising, directing, and monitoring the nursing care assigned to her/him; administering medications, performing venipuncture, assisting in the supervision and training of CNAs; and performs related duties, and using the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population. EDUCATION/SKILLS: Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. Current license as a LPN in the state of Louisiana. Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles. Knowledge of anatomy RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates respect for patients and families. Maintains and protects confidentiality regardingall aspects of patient care Applies the nursing process to each patient andimplements nursing actions Identifies patient and family education needsand in collaboration with other disciplines initiates’ education needsaccording to the age of the patient. Participates in planning of patient’s dischargeneeds and readiness for discharge.
