Toasted Hospitality is seeking a skilled and creative cook for a hybrid Pastry and Garde Manger position for The Florian. This role combines pastry preparation and service with cold-station preparation and line responsibilities, which during service come off the same station.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable moving between both stations. This person will work closely with the Executive Chef on menu execution, seasonal changes, and the development of new dishes.

Responsibilities include preparing pastry components, desserts, and baked goods according to Florian's recipes and standards; working the pastry station during service; preparing and executing Garde Manger dishes on the line; completing daily prep for both stations; maintaining consistent quality, presentation, and portioning; collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu development and execution; assisting with seasonal specials and dishes created for shows and events; keeping workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked; following food-safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures; and communicating clearly with the kitchen team and supporting a smooth service.

Qualifications include professional kitchen experience in pastry, Garde Manger, or a comparable culinary role; working knowledge of pastry production and cold-station techniques; ability to manage prep responsibilities while staying ready for service; strong organization, consistency, and attention to detail; ability to follow recipes and contribute thoughtfully to menu development; reliability, collaboration, and comfort working in a fast-paced kitchen; and culinary training is helpful but not required.

Compensation is hourly ($22.00 - $24.00).
