Job Description We're looking for a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team on a high-profile project just outside of Columbus, Ohio. If you have a ICC Soils and/or ICC Reinforced Concrete certification and at least five years of construction materials testing experience , this is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise, contribute to a meaningful project, and work alongside a team dedicated to quality and safety. Core Responsibilities Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Supervisory Staff. Daily work 10 to 12 hours per-day able to work night and weekends when required. Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making. Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up. Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically. Performs field quality control tests of reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete construction. Performs field density testing on soil, asphalt and other construction materials. Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary. Follows Atlas' safety policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs Ability to follow Atlas' QC plan and SOPs. You’ll thrive here if you have ICC Reinforced Concrete or Soils REQUIRED 5 Years experience in construction material testing REQUIRED. Valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent. Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain. Motivated, career-oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industry. Must be willing to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas as required by assignments. Works well independently.
