Location: West Bloomfield, MI 48322
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks with the possible extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; evenings and weekends as needed
Interview Type: Phone Interview
Minimum Experience: 5 Years
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of relevant experience
Certifications Required: BLS and CRCST

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Reprocessing Services to oversee sterile processing and instrument reprocessing operations. The ideal candidate must have prior sterile processing management experience, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment across multiple specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily sterile processing and reprocessing department operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely instrument availability.
• Supervise, train, and support sterile processing staff while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Oversee cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance protocols.
• Coordinate with surgical teams, operating room staff, and other departments to meet instrument and equipment requirements.
• Monitor department performance, staffing, productivity, and inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate documentation, sterilization records, and quality control reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Support the safe handling and reprocessing of specialized surgical instruments and equipment.
• Provide leadership and operational support during evenings and weekends as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience .
• Prior sterile processing management experience is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree required, or 10 years of relevant experience.
• Current BLS certification .
• Current CRCST certification .
• Demonstrated leadership, staff management, and operational coordination skills.
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards, infection prevention, and instrument reprocessing procedures.

Candidates must have experience supporting instrument reprocessing for the following specialties:

• Orthopedics
• Oral Surgery
• ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)
• Ophthalmology / Eye Surgery
• Robotics
• Urology
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Plastic Surgery
• General Surgery
• Neurosurgery
• Pediatrics
