Litigation Attorney

$80,000 to $110,000 plus production bonus potential or Of Counsel compensation, based on experience

*Position Overview*

We are seeking a driven and skilled *Litigation Attorney* to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have trial advocacy and active courtroom experience. They will manage a robust caseload involving contested wills, trust disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, guardianship/conservatorship contests, uncontested estate administration, and commercial/business litigation to include contract disputes. Civil trial experience is not mandatory, but civil discovery and trial experience would be a plus. The role will either be that of an associate under an experienced trial attorney, or an Of Counsel role alongside the same.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Manage contested probate, trust, and estate matters ; as well as commercial and contractual disputes; from initial intake through trial or settlement.
* Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and trial briefs specific to litigation.
* Appear regularly in court for hearings, status conferences, mediations, and trials.
* Conduct depositions, witness interviews, mediations/arbitrations, and complex legal research.
* Communicate clearly and empathetically with grieving or conflicted families, executors, trustees, and business owners.
* Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure efficient case progression.

*Qualifications & Skills*

* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
* Active license to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.
* Minimum of 2 years of active litigation experience; experience in civil discovery or probate practice is a plus.
* Exceptional legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy abilities.
* High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate high-conflict, sensitive family dynamics.

The salary range is $80,000-$110,000 per year plus bonuses potential based on production or Of Counsel compensation, based on experience. We use a PEO for robust benefits to include 401(k), health insurance, plus much more.
