What You ll Do

• Provide advanced, patient-centered clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Assist in cardiac procedures, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed
• Manage ICU, floor, and clinic patients, including rounding and evaluation in CVICU and cardiothoracic recovery areas
• Participate in a two-day weekly clinic schedule and see patients on other days as needed
• Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare teams in a multidisciplinary environment
• Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests
• Develop and execute care plans, follow-ups, and medication prescriptions within regulatory guidelines
• Perform bedside procedures as required, maintaining high standards of documentation and clinical judgment
• Keep current with continuing medical education to meet state and national requirements

What You Need

• Valid Colorado Nurse Practitioner license and certification in cardiothoracic or cardiovascular specialty preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in cardiac or ICU patient management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with excellent clinical judgment
